Kenya's top striker, Qatar-based Dennis Oliech may join French Division One side Nantes who has shown interest in signing him.

　　According to France daily Le Parisien, the French club is holding negotiation with Oliech's manager. However, the paper did not indicate whether they have finalized the transfer talks with the Kenyan star.

　　The French publication indicated the 21-year-old Al Arabi player, who is currently on holiday in Nairobi, would join the French team for 2.5 million euros. Still contracted until June 2006 with the Qatar club, it remains to be seen whether his club will agree to release him before the contract ends.

　　Oliech is also a key part of Kenya's national soccer team, the Harambee Stars, and is the leading scorer in the African qualifying groups. "Oliech is our top scorer and he is very important to our plans," head coach of national team Mohammed Kheri had said.

　　Now Oliech is yet to report at national team's training camp inthe Moi International Sports Center. Kenya is to play Tunisia in an Africa Cup of Nations/World Cup qualifying match in August.
