Tell Guangzhou girls it takes two to tango
(China Daily) Updated:2005-04-04 13:56

Female middle school students in a Guangzhou school will soon be dancing the tango in physical education classes.

To diversify choices of sports, which have been traditionally centred on track and field, basketball, football, badminton and dance, the course selection is being expanded.

A sport teacher said many girls dislike more physically competitive activities, and may find interests in dancing classes like the tango, the Guangzhou Daily reports. It could also help some girls lose weight.
