Swan chick finds care at Beijing reservoir
(China Daily) Updated:2005-03-29 15:57

A young swan has been enjoying 24-hour nursing care after it made a crash landing at a reservoir near Beijing.

Wild animal rescuers said the bird may have been exhausted after a long-distance flight and injured itself by hitting tree branches when it was attempting to land.

Reservoir security guards are ensuring the bird receives round-the-clock food, including fish and vegetables, while the bird regains its health and strength to continue its journey, the Beijing Evening News reports.
