Passionate fans of pasta, pizza and football, Italian style, are catered to at Sanlitun’s new Luna Rassa sport-themed Italian restaurant.

　　Part of a new wave of authentic and fresh concept restaurants in the area, Luna Rassa opened in mid October. It occupies an independent two-story building on the east side of Sanlitun South Street.

　　The "sport-Italia" theme is represented on the walls by the flags of famous Italian football clubs. In November, the restaurant will hold an exhibition, highlighting the history of Italian soccer. Displays will include the collections of some senior fans, for example, old tickets, uniforms and photos. Live sports broadcasts are a feature of dining here, and Luna Rassa intends to establish itself as the first choice for sports fans when they want to get together, wine, dine, and watch a game. The first floor of Luna Rassa can accommodate 35 diners and the second 60 or so.

　　Feature-glass walls mean that on a sunny day the trees of Sanlitun become a beautiful transient part of the decorations, and, of course, at night the energy of Sanlitun is on display. The walls keep the noise of the street from intruding on your dining experience.

　　Pasta and pizza are great choices at Luna Rassa, as you'd expect. To guarantee quality, the restaurant imports all its main ingredients from Italy, with pastas and other wheat-based products all handmade in-house. Prices are surprisingly reasonable, with tasty and traditional dishes ranging from 30 yuan to 50 yuan on average. A 12” pizza costs only 39 yuan.

　　Per diner, for a whole meal, expect to pay around 60 yuan - 70 yuan. Luna Rassa is currently promoting a 68-yuan Lunch set menu from now to the end of November.
